3 French Hens, 2 Christmas Presents, And a Chocolate Orange to Eat for Teeaaa

These two images were done for my sis and a good friend of mine for Christmas. The second is a scene from 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' where Edmund encounters the White Witch. Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!

I haven't uploaded much in the past week because I've been getting things ready for the Christmas fair I'm taking part in this Saturday (5th Dec). I'll upload more when I've had the chance to take some photos...oh and if anyone happens to be in Salisbury on that day then it'd be lovely to see you! (It's in the Guildhall)

Here are three versions of the same image which I've been working on for the last few days...I really can't decide which colour works the best though..?? I'm so indecisive with things like this. Oh, and I just wanted to say thank you to the people who left lovely comments!

Xmas Cards

Rebecca Whiteman (c) Copyright 2009

I'm working on some Christmas cards to sell...the first design with the two girls would be folded down the middle so there's one girl on the front and one on the back. I'm probably going to make two versions so each girl appears on the front. My other cards will be based on Driffy (and the bear burglar in winter is also a design).

I thought I'd try the same technique I used for the tiles/patterns with a more human context. I also found a cat poem which I thought would be nice to work around, to build an image. The first colour illustration is very bold so I think I might play around with it a bit, prevent people's eyes popping out!

I decided to experiment with pattern-making as I'm interested in decorative design. I went to the V&A last week where I looked around the ceramics collection; I found this to be very inspiring.
